We are an outside sales professional tasked to win, maintain, and expand relationships with channel partners and customers. In this position you will develop new business as well as maintain established contacts for the purpose of selling products and services. Our generous compensation plan includes benefits, bonuses and sales commission. Key Responsibilities: Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned partner accounts including electrical consulting firms, contractors and distributors and becomes a trusted advisor. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned partner accounts. Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates partner and customer needs. Provides follow-up on leads generated from tradeshows & other events. Develop and strengthen relationships at key distributors to capitalize on sales and services synergies, leverage operational efficiencies and assure profitable partnerships Provide regular feedback to management to help improve processes and execution strategies for sales and technical team. Actively recruit new qualifying partners. Basic Requirements: At least three years of electrical construction or maintenance sales experience including demonstrated experience producing project scope of work, schedules and budget. Excellent verbal & written communication skills. Thorough understanding of electrical power concepts. Experience with CRM and daily sales operations. Computer literate with thorough understanding of Windows applications and networks. Four-year technical degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for degree. Physically able to lift and carry small loads, travel through electrical rooms and utility pads. Preferred Experience and Personal Attributes: Ability to read and understand electrical single line and schematic drawings as well as wiring diagrams. A background in electrical systems as applied to facilities with experience pricing project scopes, estimating or providing bid documents. Knowledge of power quality monitoring concepts. Ability to communicate effectively and work well with APT team members Organization skills and be detail oriented. Candidate will be expected to develop and execute sales plans correctly without supervision as well as prepare detailed sales reports. Experience with Customer Service. Candidate will be interacting with engineers, electricians, estimators, and project managers. Candidate will provide customers with best in class solutions and work with fulfillment team to help ensure consistent quality of service. Excellent communication skills and understand the importance of written communication between customer, contractors, vendors Ability to work a flexible schedule. Work outside of the normal workday may be required. Ability to travel to customer work sites throughout the US (position includes approximately 30% travel time) A high standard of personal & professional ethics. Compensation: The position is classified as full-time, exempt position with flexible hours targeting 40 hours per week. Salary range $80,000 - $120,000 Commission incentive for sales with no cap. Individual and cooperative goals are part of commission structure.
