of business.Paramount Export Company is looking for a non-exempt
Sales Support Administratormember for our Food and Beverage
Department. This is a full-time position, which primarily provides
support to Sr. Trader. This is not a remote role, located in
Oakland, CA.Responsibilities:Sales Support
- Arrange logistics for each shipment.
- Keep abreast of shipping schedules and freight rates to obtain
the most advantageous shipment bookings.
- Work closely with freight forwarders to guarantee timely
transit of product.
- Research customer claims and process credits.
- Provide backup when trader is traveling or on vacation.
- Communicating with customers, suppliers, shippers, truckers,
freight forwarders, warehouse staff, government agencies and others
regarding any appropriate aspect of a shipment.
- Work closely with the Accounting Department to resolve
discrepancies on any accounting issues that might arise.
- Acquire necessary knowledge of the food & beverage product in
and being able to answer questions from the customers regarding the
product.
- Communicate with USDA inspectors and schedule inspections.
- Communicate with government agencies and manufacturers for
preparing necessary documents and certificates.
- Communicating with warehouse staff.Documentation
- Prepare documents for shipments using applicable computer
programs.
- Accurately enter shipment data using applicable computer
programs.
- Assemble documents and assist in the preparation of document
packages for the shipments.
- Keep the computer files in order, make all the necessary
updates and adjustments timely.Requirements and Qualifications:
- At least 4 years work experience relevant to job.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) skills needed.
- Work cooperatively and responsively in a high-pressure, fast
paced environment.
- Adjust quickly to any updates and changes in company
software.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs (Excel, Word, Acrobat,
etc).
- Must be detail orientated.We are located half mile from West
